Technical Director to undertake charity cycling challenge
Heber Technical Director, William Gardiner, is taking part in the Prudential RideLondon 100 cycling event on 31st July to raise money for the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity.
Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic Games, Prudential RideLondon follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside.
Inspired by the work of the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity, and enthused by the £750 sponsorship that Heber is offering, this was a challenge William and his friend Bob Merrill could not resist.
Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals form the UK’s largest specialist heart and lung centre. The charity gained independence from the NHS in 2012 and since then has been fundraising for specific projects at the hospitals that the NHS is unable to fund. Donations will go towards funding for invaluable 3D prints of patient organs, which can be ‘printed’ to assist with complex medical and surgical diagnoses and life-saving decisions.
