    Meet the team

    Richard Horne - Commercial Manager

    Richard started at Heber in 1991, which means he has given over two decades of dedicated service to the company. He began his career as an Apprentice Engineer, he has had a number of different job roles within Heber including; Sales and Marketing, Engineering and Commercial Management which is where he currently resides. Richard is a valued member of Heber, who has a wealth of experience in many areas of the company.

    What would you say is the best part about your Job?

    Meeting really interesting people and the wide range of projects and things I get to do every day with a really great team.

    What are you looking forward to in the future?

    The unexpected, along with a real Star Trek replicator and matter teleportation.

    What is your favourite food?

    Thai and chocolate, but not together!

    What is your favourite film?

    Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

    What are your Hobbies?

    I like technology and DIY and I vaguely remember scuba diving a lot in times past, but with kids I spend time watching Peppa Pig and helping to stick things with glitter.

    What book are you currently reading?

    Commodore – A Company on the Edge by Brian Bagnall

    Describe your perfect day?

    Well if you can fix it for me – an early start, fresh fruit and coffee, scuba diving with whale sharks, a rollercoaster ride, a Thai banquet meal and an evening show full of entertainment followed by sitting around a camp fire with the family and friends and lots of hot chocolate.

    Which famous person would you most like to spend a day with?

    Albert Einstein, I would show him the Internet and talk about space.

    If you where stranded on a deserted island, what two items would you most want to have with you?

    Ray Mears and a fishing rod.

    If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

    Kuala Lumpur

    And finally, if someone gave you £100,000 and a year off, what would you do?

    After a good family holiday and I would design and build my own house.
