"Energy efficiency has to be part of everything we do. We must reduce the amount of energy we use and companies like Heber are leading the way."

    Joan Ruddock - MP

Technical Director of Heber, now Master of Business Administration

    William Gardiner, MBA

Employees at Heber congratulate William Gardiner in his achievement of an MBA, with distinction, from the University of Bath. Completed in the autumn of 2011, William has undertaken the qualification in less than two years alongside his role as Technical Director at Heber Ltd.

In William’s final paper, the “Bullwhip Effect” and how human behaviours can impact on the supply chain, is versed. William carried out interviews in 17 different companies, as well as researching the recent recession and Japanese tsunami, in order to deliver an updated assessment on how certain technologies, behaviours and market mechanisms have evolved, and the implications for national and international trading. The dissertation has certainly shifted the academic focus in this field, and a modernized restructured approach has been delivered by William, to the benefit of Heber.

William acknowledges personal thanks to Les Ashton-Smith, Heber Managing Director, for his guidance and mentoring on this most arduous academic study.

Staff at Heber are extremely proud of his achievement and success; well done. Managing Director Les Ashton-Smith already holds an MBA; now, with this second MBA qualification, Heber can deliver a unique blend of commercial and technical understanding. For customers, this translates into products that work and generate profits.
